In Korea, does it ever snow?

In Korea, does it ever snow?

Yes it does, but rarely more than 3 inches at a time.

I grew up in Northeastern Ohio, and the snows here in Korea are nothing compared to the lake-effect storms we got there.

Korean winters are very cold and very dry
(as opposed to Korean summers which are suffocatingly hot and mold-spawning humid)

Yes! Especially in the winter its very snowy. =)

Yes it does. Every winter.

I lived in Korea for 4 years when I was in the Army. The winters are very cold and very harsh, and it definately snows there during the winter. Although most of the annual precipitation is in the summer during monsoon season.

Yes, my father in law served there in the Korean war and got frostbite marching in the snow.

Think of New England Winter. It's very similar winter in Korea

yes, in winter...why?

It snowed last night in the Pyongtaek area. It did not last long or stick very well, but it was truly snow.

It does in most parts of Korea, although it rarely snows in the southern most areas, such as Pusan, and there are islands, such as Chejudo, that are further south, where it doesn't snow.

Yes, it does. Even in Busan, we get snow once or twice a year---though it doesn't stick.

CindyKim: Gaya must not like you either. But your answer is correct and you're hot. Thumbs up girl.

Yes it does but probably not as much as it snows in Canada or the States.

yes every winter, hay have you seen the movie M.A.S.H.
