English Teacher in Korea needs some advice.?

I am an English teacher working in South Korea and I need some advice on finding a job when I return home. On application forms should I use the adress of a relative or do I use my current address in Korea? Can anyone else who taught ESL tell me your experince after reurning home?

You should use your work address in Korea. For your home address use your address in your home country.

I strongly recommend that you get a confirmation letter (or a letter of recommendation) from your company proving that you taught English in Korea. Try to get one on company letterhead. Most of the employers in your home country won't want to call Korea to verify your employment. For your reference make sure you put down the name of somebody who can speak English in case they do call to verify.

It's really a pretty easy transition. If they ask you why you left your job teaching, "I completed my contract." Next question.

I've returned to my home country twice from Korea and had no problem getting a job.

As military I deal with similiar address issues all of the time. I try to always think about why someone wants my address. If they are going to try to get ahold of me immediately I give them my present address. If they are going to try to get ahold of me later, I use a relative's address and phone number.
Another great way to do it is to specify a physical address and a mailing address.
Also, don't forget to put down an email address.
