Is Kolkata, a better place to live & earn?

Yes...certainly.
This city is safe and secured, people are friendly, cheating and fraud are less, Govt. and civic body is trader and industry friendly, food and room rentals are less expensive, women are safe, late night roaming is of no danger.
The state and city had to suffer for adverse remarks in the past but now its the safe destination for national and international capitals.
Only thing is "observe rules"..but who wants to break the laws when everybody is ready to help the genuine activities.

Kolkata is the cheapest city. It has now growing rapidly. Earning and living prospects are good. But in kolkata bengalies are very selfish they are concerned about themselves only. You cannot expect any help from them even you have accident on road.
