Kenya; Any one here from Kenya or worked/lived in kenya before?

I would like to do my internship in Africa specifically Kenya next year with youth or AIDS projects. Can any one recommend me some interesting projects or groups there in Kenya? South Africa would be an option tool. Please give me some contact details too if possible

I would recommend the UN over and above any other organization. Next choice would be World Vision.

Well Nono! Most people working in HIV/AIDS projects in Kenya are volunteers. As a foreigner it's best to work with government or UN affiliated organizations. Contact them, they'll help:

Ministry of Health
Tel : (254) 20-717077
E-mail: enquiries@health.go.ke
Web: www.health.go.ke

Ministry of State for Youth Affairs
Tel: (254) 20-240068
Web: www.youthaffairs.go.ke

UN-Kenya
Tel: (254) 20-624469
Fax: (254) 20-624661
Web: www.un-kenya.org

Good luck!

There are millions of NGOs working with youth and AIDS project. Camp David Centre in Mombasa (www.campdavidcentre.org) is one of them. Others are nyumbani.org, Catholic relief services.
Camp David Centre has special programmes for HIV/AIDS patients and you could visit their website for more info.
I know many other similar organisations in Mombasa alone (where I stay), but most do not have websites so the best place to get good information is government sources Ministry of Social Services or s'th like that.

i would advice you work with guidance from the gorverment or registered agencies, others are just a fraud.i live here i know.
all the same welcome.
