I am going to Kenya. what is a good souvenir I should buy? |
Thanks There are plenty of souvenirs to choose from but the most difficult part will be the bargaining. If you speak Swahili, it will be much easier to bargain. Either way, take their price and reply with 15-20% of their initial offer and work from there. There are all sorts of souvenirs to buy, you'll go crazy. Personally, I liked the stone carvings I found. But there are a lot of wood carvings (a lot of ebony) which is pretty cool. Don't worry, you'll find something to tickle your fancy. im crazy about giraffes id buy a giraffe carving and id try get as tall as possible so it can have some presence in a corner of my house i like giraffes The best souvenir will actually be in ua mind. You will remember your visit for a long time to come. Kenyans are warm and kind.. and always ready to help. When you go there, talk to people..Kenyans like people who are relaxed. There are a lot of souvenirs in Kenya from stones carvings, wood carvings to weaved baskets. Why not try a wooden giraffe carving or any of the big five. You can even have a custom made basket with your initials and details made for you. I can send you photos of sample souvenirs if you are interested. Get me at xkcox@yahoo.com think you've been answered.enjoy your stay.KARIBU. as our president says UJIENJOY[enjoy yourself]. THE WOOD CARVINGS..MY FRIENDS ARE ALWAYS AMAZED BY THE FEW I HAVE AROUND MY HOME |

his first name says it all ...So he - like so many of hollywood elite- can continue confusing his popularity from acting with some sort of higher moral status. ...sorry cant help try google ...as in I'M LEAVING the country,we say NAONDOKA nchini. as in I'M LEAVING you for someone else,we say, nakuacha NAENDA KWA mwingine. ...hmm.... I dont have a recipe in mind but my mum just makes them from a verbal non existant recipe the closest thing I could find was this website ... It all depends on what you will be doing there. If you will be doing aid work/living or working with local people you will be recommended more than if you are visiting as a tourist. We went in ... we like masa mara, best to fly there from mombasa, or if you go to tsarvo east, west and amboseli you go with a driver in a purpose built safari van with an elevating roof so yiu can stand up to se... there is only one good way by air mail ... |
