What are good gifts for 15 yr old boy in Kenya? |
My daughter is going on a mission trip and will meet a boy that she adopted through her church. What would be good or special gifts-no sizes known. I thought he might enjoy electronics, but batteries may be too expensive. On my mission trip to Kenya I found that they really appreciate school supplies (pencils and sharpenes, paper, coloured pencils, school book bag, condoms are great. Toiletries like soap, toothpaste (Kenyans have beautiful teeth) No chocolate as it will melt in the heat. Gum, postcards of your home town, The Kenyan people are so precious and have wonderful manners. They will appreciate anything you bring. However, do not take them anything expensive as they are so poor that the other children will take things. While it is a boring gift, I'd say you can never go wrong with a good quality football :) And I mean Soccer football :) Condoms,a.i.d.s. is so RAMpant over there. American Candy Condoms. Your faith is irrelevant. These kids are having unsafe sex no matter how much preaching you do to them. a good idears is sourvenir ,why dont you think of the man gift and that will work, |
