Is there any volunteer medication organisation in kenya?

I watch a movie called 'The Last Breakthrough'....the main thing in it is talking about a unbenefited or volunteering medical organisation called 'Life Force'...it is just like 'Doctor Without Borders'...
they provide free medication and some immunation to the kids and adults.the doctor and nurse are from all over the world from different country.they are not accepting any money except for the permenant officer but the salary given also very little.

1. I want to know whether there is a organisation called 'Life Force'?
2. Is there any organisation just like what i describe but set up by other country?

The best known is AMREF, which I think stands for African Medical Relief Foundation or something like that. It flies to remote locations to treat people and also assists with medical evacuations. It sells higher priced safari insurance for tourists (i.e. $25/day for coverage) to subsidize some of its voluntary activities for poor populations.

There are several local and international NGOs that provide health assistance in Kenya to various populations (slum residents, refugees, flood/drought displaced, nomadic populations, etc.)

I've never heard of Life Force (in Kenya or anywhere else) so I think it's a made up name for the movie. MSF (Doctors without Borders) has an office, for example. There are lots of religious orders of medically trained nurses who run clinics in Kenya. You can search on www.reliefweb.int under Kenya for more reports of various NGO and UN activiites.

The Last Breakthrough is a television drama on the TVB channel in Hong Kong. The story is about an organization named 'Life Force' which is similar to Doctors Without Borders. Most of the important scenes in this story took place in beautiful places in Kenya.

there are many in kenya the one we used to send the kids for aids tests was angels of mercy based in nairobi but have clinics all over Ngong, Kitwi, muchakos but to name a few the patrons are the people who owned aim air the mission relief planes.

I recently spent 3 months in Western Kenya participating in a similar program. organization called ICODEI (inter-Community Development Involvement) with mobile medical clinics to the really remote rural areas providing medication and care to the locals. its a local NGO run by the nicest family of native Kenyans, Reuben Lubanga is the head. great program. if interested www.volunteerkenya.com
