Going to Diani, Kenya in September for our honeymoon. Any tips??

We are staying at the Diani Reef Hotel & Spa for two weeks. just wondered how much things cost and what the weather will be like and any oth info really. Never been on a long haul before so abit worried!! whats the best way to get a visa and are the mozzies really as bad as i have read?? if there is one within a 10 mile area it will get me!! Thanks for your advice!!

Fantastic place lovely beaches, the only advice i can give is get youself as close to the beach as possible then you wont be bothered by mosies, they are nasty little things out there.and watch the monkeys. I stuck all my gear in my room went for a dip when I got back they'de been through all my bags looking for pills etc and they will crap in there hands and throw it at you,
don,t let me put you off, and go to the african pot for a meal really good you choose which part of the goat you want and they cook it,great stuff great place, if thats what you want.visa on arrival . been a while scince I was there I heard about princess diana's death while i was there and I was recovering from ameba
but don't think the mosies and the monkey's will be any different
oh one more thing the hotel next door to us collapsed because it was built from corral stone (to soft to build more than 2 floors),

Don't go

I think you're gona have the best time ever! Its a beautiful place, dont worry about the weather...its gona be great! costs are not too high as such...and the people there are really friendly. you can get visas on arrival in Kenya, at the airport. Better still, just ask your travel agents to sort that out.

you should be least worried about all this, just look forward to going!

all the best!

Hi! You'll definitely have a great time in Kenya! make sure u put on some insect repellent. that should keep the mossies away. sleep under a net! or turn the AC on high...mossies like warm, cozy places. as for the weather it is going to be great! lovely warm sunshine. Oh, don't forget to drink plenty of water and fruit juices! Have fun. Gud luck. I wish i were going as well...hehe

Diani is quite hot during the time you intend to go for your honeymoon but it is a good place to go we can also organise for you a very interesting package for your honeymoon that will leave you with lifetime memories
