What jabs do i need?

i'm going to ghana in feb for 2 months and i need to know what i need and when i need to get them done?

your question is in the Kenya section. however it is probably the same jabs for both countries. Tetanus, Typhoid, Cholera, yellow fever, malaria tablets too.

I would suggest you get the inoculations as soon as possible as some need 3 weeks between them and others may need to be given at different times. If you are going to have a reaction to any of them better here before you travel.

You should start your anti-malarials 3 weeks before leaving so that you have decent levels in your blood before you land.

First is the yellow fever jab which takes ten days after injection to be active, then the others will depend with where exactly in Ghana and which diseases are common there. You can visit the Inoguration Centre at city Hall where they give the jabs,advise you on which are the best and also issue the WHO certificate to show you have been vaccinated. Chorela vaccine is also highly advisable.
