Can i enter kenya on a post dated passport?

I'm getting married in December and am unsure whether to travel under maiden or married name as apparently some countries requiring visas can be funny with either.

You are not married. You DO NOT have a married name, yet! Post-Dated passport??? What the hell is that?

But the answer is simple. The guy in the customs booth doesn't know you from Adam. If your passport says you are Madonna, then you are Maddona. He doesn't care if that is your married name, maiden name, uncle's name or past-life name. Do not make it an issue and it won't be one.

Travel on your maiden name. You may carry your marriage certificate with you if you like. But unless a visa is required, you don't need to show them anything.

My mother is still using her maiden name in her passport and my parents have been married over 40 years!

HI I AM NOT SURE WHY DON`T YOU PHONE THE AIRPORT AND ASK

You can use your passport that is in your maiden name, as you will use it and the visa to enter Kenya, and you will have to leave using the same documents. a marriage certificate to prove you got married there will make no difference. You can change your passport to your new name when back in your home country. By the way you will find it easier to get you visa from the Kenyan embassy prior to leaving for Kenya, it is less hassle.

I went to Kenya in 1994 and I remember them studying every detail of my passport in Nairobi. I would check it all out with the embassy or consulate first, so you don't get caught out. Don't merely rely on your travel agency.

If you have a valid passport it will not matter. It determines your ability to get a visa. Get your entry visa at the port of enty. It only takes 20 minutes.

It doesn't matter which you use but make sure that all of your documents match. In other words your passport, your airline tickets, your hotel reservations, your driver's license and your credit cards should all have the same name on them. It's easier to get your visa from the Kenyan Embassy ahead of time than it is to stand in line at the airport. If you have any questions call the Kenyan Embassy. You should also register with the American or British embassy depending on your nationality and I have read recommendations that you should register with at least one other English speaking embassy like the Canadian or Australian embassies just in case there's some sort of emergency.

On a much lighter note - have a lovely time. I adore Kenya and want to return as soon as possible.
