Have you ever been to Nairobi, Kenya?

My family is thinking about going to Nairobi for a vacation. Has anybody ever been there or even lived there? Im very interested in learning more.

I live in Nairobi and think it's a great city. we have everything here, from a park within the city to an extremely active and diverse night life. You even get to see the maasai walking around the streets! Hope you can come and enjoy my lovely homeland.

It's my favorite city in Africa. I'm from Osaka but i love Nairobi(modern city) and Kenya as a whole. Great country. There something different about Kenya compared to other African countries.
Theres the Modern well educated part,the nature loving traditional part, beatiful beaches i would recommend "Safari" a Kenyan word by the way which means travel in English, to Maasai Mara, Amboseli, Nakuru or Mombasa, Lamu and Malindi for beach lovers. You can have a great beach Safari with a mix of Game safari in Kenya.

I was on Safari i Kenya 2 weeks ago. It's marvelous. Everybody should visit Kenya before they die. Even Safari is a Kenyan word, a Swahili word. Nairobi is a huge modern city and they have most of the stuff you see in western countries. The great part about Nairobi is it's people very friendly, suave, agressive and knowlegable, i've been to many African countries but i like Kenyans best because they have great character, you can talk about any western affairs with them and they seem very uptodate. Kenyans love nature too and you can see Maasai in Maasai Mara. Their parks aso have more animals than most in Africa, I've been on tours to many african countries like Zimbabwe, S.Africa and even Uganda and we spent time looking for the wildlife, but in Kenya they come to you in huge numbers. They have huge well preserved national parks.

All in all i would say a Kenyan Safari starting in Nairobi has better variety and is more fun than in most African countries. I would recommend a guided tour to see most without troubling yourself because it's a big county with lot's of fun stuff to see.

ive been there for a vacation. so let me break it down for you. nairobi is the capital of kenya and the modest city in east africa. its the best place to go if you want the ultimate african experience. the tall buildings ,beautiful parks and wonderful are some of the stuff that make nairobi marvelous. if you are interested in the beach, you can travel to mombasa which has sandy beaches and nice hotels with a view of the ocean. in case you want to know more just contact me
