Why would I ever want to come to KC?

Someone please influence me to come and maybe spend the weekend there. I live in Denver which really isnt too far but I honestly have no desire to see Kansas City and I have no idea what is even there to do or see. Someone either influence me to come out or influence me not to waste the gas.

I forget half the time that Kansas City even exists.

KC is a hip town. Tons of great bars and scenes. Casinos. Plus you will have to try the BBQ. It's the best in the country.

I like Denver, but come on, take the trip just to get out of town for a weekend. It'll be worth it.

Two things: both close to one another! The Nelson Art Gallery and the Kansas City Plaza (a great, unique, and famous, shopping and eating area). These two things alone are worth the trip.

We also have a world-class Nascar race track, in season and for scheduled races, if you time your trip accordingly.

All the women in KC are beautiful, except for one, make that two, but those two are really intelligent, very rich, and nice, most of the time. All the men are, according to all the women, perfect, except for their extreme modesty.

I've been to Denver many times. No disrespect intended, but, I can do everything I like in Denver in one hour and 30 minutes. It will take you much longer to do Kansas City, trust me on this one, so plan on staying over.

Do you like really great food: steaks, sea food, French, Mexican, Italian, Oriental, Bar-B-Q, Pizza, and really good old-fashion and contemporary American? We have it all! somewhere. Your mission will be, if you except the assignment, to find it.

You won't be able to find and enjoy everything during one trip, even if you spend a week, but you'll have a good time. OH! We have, without any doubt, the best margaritas you have ever tasted.

One reason is for the BBQ. They are probably the top place in the entire USA to get real authentic BBQ.

If you need to be influenced to travel ANYWHERE, I'd say don't waste your time. Stay in Denver!

I have lived in KC just about my whole life and I have visited many cities across this country. To me KC is just like any other mid-sized city in the US. If you don't want to come here then don't. If there is nothing to motivate you to visit then don't.

I have been through Denver a number of times, but the only reason I ever stayed for a visit was to go to a Chiefs/Broncos game. I had a great time. Denver is a nice city. Perhaps you could do the same.

seriosuly what is there in denver? real people? noooo! there are tourist!!!! in kc you get all the attractions without all the bloody tourists! go to the plaza, see the lights, the fountains, go to city hall and see the wonderful art and the lookout! go to westport see the party scene, try the jerusalem cafe, they have a hookah bar, not your taste, try skys, its a resteraunt on top of the hyatt regency that spins while you are inside dining. and you absolutely must have some gates BBQ! best in KC! go to crown center, they have wonderful shopping right smack in down town kansas city, maybe take a tour of chldrens mercy hospital... its only about 2 blocks from crown center and it has some amazing history, then there is the nelson art museum, science city, union station and liberty memorial... there are tons of wonderful places to visit. you just have to open your mind... just because people come to Denver all the time.. that doesnt make you... better off in denver... get the away from the rude tourists, people in KC are about as modest and down to earth as they come!
