Your favourite things to do in Kyoto, Japan? |
Hi everybody!!! Well, when I was there, heaps of friends and myself had a party in our hotel room supplied with alcohol from the vending machines I suggest you visit Kinkakuji (Golden Pavillion), Ginkakuji (Silver Pavillion), Nijo Castle, Toji Temple, Sanjusangendo (1001 statues), Ryoanji (zen temple with rock garden), and Kiyomizudera. These were my favorites. Also, you should take a day trip to Nara and visit Nara Park. Japan's largest indoor Buddha statue is there (Todaiji temple). There are other places within the park to fill an entire day. Hope this helps and have a great time. I'd love to go back...I'm jealous. Aside from all the touristy temples, try the Shijo or Gojo shopping area! Lots of cheap stuff, especially in the alley-ways. :) 1.Take a walk around Higashiyama District near Kyoto- station. |
