Is it safe in Ixtapa Mexico??

My step moms friend owns a huge house there and my parents are taking my 18 year old daughter for a visit. They won't be partying or any of that but will they have to be over cautious whenever they are out.

Most if not all Mexican tourist/ resort towns are completely safe.
Have fun

" no Mexicans can afford to live there"

What a load of crap. Such ignorance is mindboggling.

Ixtapa is totally safe. Unfortunately, no Mexicans can afford to live there so you will only see tourists and workers. It was a city, like Cancun, only built for tourism. You have no need to worry. Tell your step mom and daughter to have a great time.
