Has anyone stayed at the las brisa ixtapa resort? We are going there in August.?

It's probably going to be hot and humid with the possibility of hurricanes (the chances of a direct hit are very slim) but then you should be getting the best rates.

I didn't stay there but I drove through to check it out and I was impressed.

I have, I am from over there. I recomend you stay at "El Dorado Pacifico" it is under $120 per night and it's all inclusive and has many fun free activities.
