Things to do in Puerto de la Cruz, Tenerife?

I'm heading to Tenerife, Canary Islands, but I want to stay most of the time in Puerto de la Cruz. Where can I go, any special tips? Any good budget hotel?

I was just in Puerto. I made a blog about my trip with tons of great info. As for budget hotels, look for places called "pensiones".

I'm going myself in a weeks time, but will be staying in Calleo Salvaje on the West Coast. Puerto de la Cruz is the island's capital, so there should be lots to do. Enjoy yourself!
