How easy is it to get a residencia in lanzarote? Have a look at www.roundtownnews.com for the canaries section. Each week there is information from the Consul. This issue states Royal Decree 240/2007 approved on 16th Feb and effective from 28th March - Residencias will no longer be issued to EU citizens. You now just register with your local Oficina de Extranjeros or at a designated police station. You will be issued a certificate stating name, address, nationality and id number and date of registration. Hope that helps. If you're an EU citizen it should be fairly easy, same as the rest of Spain... The residencia has now been abolished, so you don't need one. Don't need to apply for residencia as of 28th March 2007 |
