What is las americas resort like in tenerife? i heard its very wild and rough? and yet many ppl go there!?

can anyone tell me what type of age group etc what the bars are like in las americas..i was in peurto de cruz in tenerife, its beautiful old spanish style town and i will go back..but it is very quiet!

hi i live in las americas and its a great place to holiday same
as anywhere in the world you have to be careful loads to do
day and night come and see me in the brazenhead irish bar
playa azul apts. all ages come to holiday here but from
june to sept its mostly 18 to 25 years and very lively the winter is
couples and familys . xmas is the best..

hi i went there about ten years ago it's full of bars and clubs. It's all teens and early twenties. i was on an 18-30 holiday. it was good for that age is full of people, but they vomit on the street, and get up to all sorts. Lager lout types and that.

The Area between Playa de las Americas and los christianos has been much improved with plenty of bars and a parade of bars near to the mare nostrum resort that has good entertainment the food and drink are reasonable priced
just come back last week and can thoroughly recommend the area, we stayed at the bitacro hotel but most 4 star hotel are good in that area.mostly older folk very little trouble take no notice of it being a bad area you can avoid the crap
with a bit of sense most of it is contained in a small area around Veronica's had no trouble in 6 years of going there as a family or with a crowd of golfers

It can be rough and wild but there are enough bars and restaurants to get away from it.It is mixed ages the younger ones tend to go out very late and sleep in the day.You can walk along the front to Los Cristianos, and Puerto Colon isn't very far, they are nice and a bit quieter.I think there is a good selection for all ages and you soon learn where to go both in the day and at night. The bars have fun nights, disco, quiz, live music and some nice and quiet for a breather!

las playas is the opposite strictly for young folk and can get rowdy was there 9 years ago never been back but hotels 4/5 star are fine

Going back on Jan 26, Great holiday for all ages winter time is laid back but you can still find lots of hot music discos to go to.
Bars,bars and more bars.
Summer time is wild; but all ages do their own thing there is enough to do to keep everybody happy,Sun,sea, sangria.
All ages enjoy La's Americas?
Go and find out yourself, won't want you to miss out,I will go again in September.

I live in Tenerife, Las Americas has some parts which are for youngsters, however that is just the main strip called Veronicas. There are some beautiful hotels in las americas and it has been redone to attract wealthy tourists. The parque santiago area of las americas has been revamped and there is a gorgeuos new commercial centre with some fab restaurants and beautiful fountains called Safari Centre, you wont finf the 18-30 crowd here and to be honest you dont tend to see much of this age group anyway. You might be better off staying in LOs critianos, there are no clubs, its got nice harbour area, church square great beaches and its more geared towrads couples and families! have fun if you do come over the weather at the monet is 24 degrees!!!

It's very lively with plenty of young people and nightlife. See the follwing link for my panoramic image of some of the nightlife: http://www.360travelguide.com/360Virtual...
