Can anyone tell me best but cheapish shopping,eating places etc + places to visit,best beach,in puerto rico?

staying in tobago studios puerto gran canaria.been a long awaited holiday and dont want waste time and money so to know a few not too expensive eating and shopping places would be an advantage.also best beach to visit

Puerto Rico resort in the Canaries is a purpose-built tourist resort and is full of all imaginable types of touristy shopping and eating places all competing for your custom.
No fantastic high quality stuff but not all cheap and tacky.
The beaches are of white sand imported from the Sahara because the local sand is black volcanic dust.
Enjoy your holiday but try to see some of the island's sights.

Puerto Rico is not in Spain. You've got the wrong category.

not a lot to choose from for prices, all are very similar, best beach has to be amadoras beach,man-made on the outskirts of puerto rico under the cliffs,big choice of shops , bars & eateries
of all types, weather is pretty good this time of year,take a trip into the centre of the island,well worth it, enjoy, most people do.
ps, puerto rico is in gran caneria, as well as puerto rico in south america, ignore those who obviosly have never been,

The beach at Puerto Rico is great in it's own right especially if you have kids, Check out the dunes at Playa del Ingles as well cheap taxi or bus ride from Puerto. Lots of centro commercials
(Plaza, Kasbah, Cita, Yumbo and more) but all pretty much the same stuff, cheap fags, booze, electrical goods, jewellery but care full with some stuff especially if you need instructions as sometimes will come with books in Chinese only, not much help but helps keeps prices down check before you buy and always haggle even if they say fixed price, if you don't like the price walk. Also lots of the bars put on free shows in the evenings generally pretty good especially yumbo. There are some nice small Restaurants around the area providing cheap tasty tapas but also a lot of touristy C*** depends what you like. Try and get around the island if you can, incredible variety of views, people and places.
Check out Maspalomas (El Faro - the lighthouse) really nice seafront walk lots of pricier restaurants, designer shops and you can have a camel ride for 10 euros if you fancy.
I live here and love it you could never be bored.
