Honestly now. Any truthful reviews of Thomas Cook family hols please?

I'm looking at Hotels (half board) or apartments (self-catering) in Alcudia, Cala Millor, Cala Bona and Pollensa. Just don't know what to do . Child is seven and only child. And what about all-inclusive? Does that mean lots of unsavoury types boozing all day??? First time in many years of bog standard package hol - help!

i went to hotel alcudia in alcudia and stayed half board it was great hotel and alcudia is a great family resort your child will meet loads of friends i also went to a brilliant place in ibiza called es cana which is lovely it has great scenery and very clean the hotel i stayed at with my children was the caribe hotel and i kid yu not your child will have something to do every miute of the day this htel is half board as well good luck have a nice holiday

Thomas cook are ok no better or worse than the rest of the tour operators. the only thing with all inclusive is you are really stuck around the hotel all day, but will be good for the child and your wallet as you wont have to keep buying ice creams and drinks all day. Have a look at cala d'or thats where we are going again

i haven't used thomas cook, but i've only used one travel agent in the last 15 years. we went to bellevue in alcudia a few years ago with airtours.
that was the worst holiday of my life.

consider looking for an apartment on the net. and buying your own flights. the reason places like bellevue can continue to exist is because of travel agents. that why i don't use them

sorry cant comment on spanish hols
but, went on a thomas cook hol in goa this time last year, fully inc.
first....we got to the hotel and nothing like the description off the t.v. or the brochure and when we asked to be moved were told all thomas cook hotels were full and like it or lump it!!!. no joy for 3 days so we made the best of it, no thanks to T.C.
all inc....yes go for it, its not wall to wall drinking, even tho. some idiot does it once!! and suffers from their family and other holidaymakers so once is usually enough, but it does make a diff. from the kids wanting ice cream crisps etc. to the missus cups of tea. it all adds up and normally the local drinks are,nt that bad.
it means that the only money needed is for personal spending and tipping.
even on fully inc a tip means quicker service!!!
