Can i sing Rasa Sayang song without being sued by Indonesian governments?

Everybody can sing any song as they wish. What have been an argument between Indonesia and Malaysia regarding the song Rasa Sayang, that Malaysia using that song as their theme song on some tourism campaign and it has offended Indonesian government who claim that the song is belong to Indonesia ,was written and created by an Indonesian (the song come from Maluku Island or Ambon) In case of this Malaysia should ask permission from Indonesia government whether or not they can use it as their campaign's theme song.

Yes, its a freedom of speech and our political system is based on democracy. As long as you don't harm or endanger anyone, then the government will have no right to sue or prohibited your desire to express an opinion or speech.

rasa sayang ? I doubt I ever heard it before, but I doubt you will get sued, maybe arrested if it's offensive in lyrics.

i'm agree with Seven-Sue, if Malaysian going to use this song, then they have to ask permission from the Indonesian goverment to use it. It's about copyright issue.
But if you only want to sing it, then of course it's okay. no body going to sue you just because of that. It's just like you're singing Britney's song right?
