Need News From Bali ?

What Information do you need to know from Bali - The Paradise Island ?

1 is it okay for non balinese to wear the headgear and sarong without causing offence to the community?
hmmm, I can't say for sure, but I doubt people will be outraged if you wear headgear and sarong, though you might get laughed at, since those are used on special occasions, not everyday wear.

2 is there any safe road travel from jakarta to bali and how long? train, taxi, coach. I want to see the country overland.
trains are not safe enough in this country, there are plenty of train accidents, derailments, etc. Railways are maintained, but some people liked to take iron pegs and nails from the rails, so *shrugs* you figure it out.
Taxi would be too expensive, maybe if you rent a car, then you can enjoy the views, but buses and trucks are really a pain, since they are the king of the road in this country(at least half of road accidents are caused by them) the rest are caused by motorcycles and cars.
coach buses are not bad, although it's been a while since I went with one, though with this one, you can't see the views.
planes are probably the safest mode of transport and the least hassle.
The only way to cross Bali from Java island were at Banyuwangi port, and there's no railway to Bali from Java.
Fastest way to go from jakarta to Bali is by plane, roughly about 1 hour trip, the rest would take at least 36 hours.

3 whens the rainy season.
rainy season starts in oct through april, though lately it's been either late or start a bit early then stopped till mid november
