How do you view the Indonesian peoples?

How do you view the Indonesian peoples?

miserable !

friendly, kind and anxious to please

Not all seems friendly, sometimes in the street of Jakarta you'll find some. But it's fine. Actually I think they're pretty smart, but still they don't know how to use it wisely to make Indonesia better. But I like it here though in Indonesia, with all the various culture of people and tradition. Well, my neighbours are all so friendly, kind, and helpfull. 2 days ago some of them came to my house to say sorry if there's something they did wrong all this time, since it's almost ramadhan (fasting month for moslems). Well, I think that's some nice things to do. I did that too, since I'm a moslem and most of my friend giving me text message about apologizing, coz it's almost ramadhan

Some are nice. The rests are hot headed.

I was parking my rented (friend's) car at the sidewalk when I was visiting Jakarta (I'm from US). When I left, a guy seems to help me when I was backing up my car. So I thought people in Jakarta are so helpful. He did not seems like a valet or anything because he didn't wear a uniform. But suddenly when I drove away, the guy knocked my back side of my car and screamed something at me. I was afraid and drove away.

Later, I found out from my friend, they are street hustlers asking for a parking fee. More like a tip. Man, everywhere you go in Indonesia, people are asking for money. It's not a good place for relaxing.

i have no idea, it`s all depends on the person and their back ground. different part of indonesia have different kind of personality. i just don`t understand why people in indonesia still hate the indochinese there.
