i can say that Bali is quite save to travel by cab, even at night, and from the airport.

but you can check your hotel, good hotels have airport transfer.
btw, if you're travelling NOT with tour-guide, you should pick up some advertising papers near the information center at the airport. they're at very good value to travel in Bali, PLUS they provide transportation for free.

it runs by meter and perfectly safe.
you better check with your hotel, for most of the hotel in Bali, big hotels i mean, provides pick up for free.

Bali is mostly hindhu, that's why its a very peaceful place.

BUT...ever since the muslims stepped into the place, the entire island has become desecrated. I'm pretty sure, even now, many islamic militants are waiting to bomb the island again. Most muslims hate other religions, they just don't tell it to your face that's all.

in general it is safe...but you must consider how late is it?
if above 9, i recommend you to book for airport transfer.
also, you should mention where your hotel is located....
if you stay in Ubud...it is very far will take like almost 2 hours drive
