Would you protest if the government requires plate numbers on motorcycle helmets?

to curb down criminaltiy

No I would not protest....we don't even require helmets in our state...which is stupid. License plate #'s on them would be a good idea...but not very practical, if you have more than one bike or lend your helmet to someone.

I'm not sure how that would 'cut down on criminality.' Sounds like another government intervention with no demonstrable benefit. Therefore, it's an idiotic suggestion. Not sure I'd 'protest' but I certainly don't support the idea.

there was a small protest from the motorcycle rider here in manila when the govt propose such. but since they are only a small population of bike rider compared to other parts in Asia, the demonstration haven't been felt much.

Will the helmet match the bikes? What if I switch bikes? Do I have to switch helmet too? What happen if I break my helmet? What if I want to change my helmet design? Change colour? Can I wear on my bicycle? How are they going to license it like the motorbikes when it is more easily available in non-motorbike retail shops? Will they enforce that only motorbike shops can sell helmets?

Too many questions unanswered yet.

What would be the point. Ojek are suppose to wear numbers while working and hardly ever do and no one enforces the law. Who would enforce this one, who would make sure that the correct number is with the correct rider or motorbike? Criminals would simply wear incorrect numbers...

yes...

it'll be a hassal for people registering and stuff,,

also what i trade bikes/lend or borrow a bike from my friend?

of course. it'll be just a new way of government official to rob people's money.

Putting plate number on helmet will not curb down criminality.
So it's the stupidest idea that I've ever heard.
