I will be in Bali for two days. What are the best places to visit there in that time?

And is December a good time visit in terms of weather? Please give recommendations for a cheap villa/hotel. I prefer something small and private.

December is rainy season in Bali. I think it'll be a big wave at the beach. If you intend to go shopping, it wouldn't matter. For me it'll be better to come on dry season (end of April - Mid October). For places to stay, maybe at Kuta? there'll be a lot. and it's easy to go to many places from Kuta.

You should visit Jimbaran at night for dinner in the beach, and you should go to Pasar sukowati art market, ubud, and uluwatu to see the Kecak dance. The best Kecak dance and great atmosphere is the one in uluwatu. You can see the baring dance too at batubulan. Bebek Bengil or dirty duck is a great place for lunch. and bali zoo has a nice garden in it too. For shopping go around Kuta and legian street and the sukowati market.

in the morning go to Kuta and Legian, Lunch at bebek bengil in ubud then go to bali zoo and sukowati in the afternnoon and catch the kecak dance in usually starts on 17:50 WITA. I'm not wrong, then dinner at jimbaran would be great. Or at the first day you can catch on the barong dance in the morning and shopping in the 2nd day

for hotel i recommend you to stay at Kuta. It'll be easy to go to many places from Kuta

Have a nice trip then!!

December , most of the place in Indonesia are starting rainy season . About the cheap accomodation , maybe i can suggest you to see in seminyak area , bakung sari street , legian street and ubud area .
The place to visit is depend on you , you like watersport you can go to Kuta beach or nusa dua . if you like art , you can go to ubud and also see the rice terrace . Bali are offer a lot of activities .

I suggest you to visit Dreamland beach, it's more private and the sunset is amazing. It is quite far from Kuta but it's worth to go there and have good time, and cheap massage for quite a while.

December will be crowded but if you prefer private things u should go to nusa dua, which is more expensive,
but I once stayed at OASIS Benoa, and it's a good hotel, have a reasonable price, it's clean and have a beach at the back of the hotel,
u just have to walk several meters from the pool at the center of the hotel.

It's nice, maybe u can check it on the internet. Benoa also a good place to play some sports so.. enjoy your vacation.

December is good. 'cause it cooler. Go to Tanah Lot, Nusa Dua. Hire a car and driving around the island. thats the best i reckon as you get to see what the villagers do.

As far as I know for December 2007, Bali is overbooked due to a high level conference (International) held there. Not sure what is that, but I have been warned by so many friends to avoid Bali on December 2007. Too crowded.

Make sure you book the hotel asap.

the best places are Kuta Beach. i guess you can spend 2 days there... you can play banana boats with your family... and um.. if u wanna see the bali bomb... you may... if you wish...^^
and also, water boom!! the best water park in Bali...
the best water park in Indonesia is Ciputra Waterpark is located in Surabaya. ^^
