What is the best food you ever wanted to eat in Indonesia? Why?

What is the best food you ever wanted to eat in Indonesia? Why?

Street food or food stalls!! I don't know why, but their food taste soo good compare to regular restaurants there...My opinion. =) Maybe the abang abang put something special in it haha..I love Indonesian food!

sate padang because it's taste is spicy ..... yummy.....
its all
srry if my language is more different cause i'm just 10 years ol

Padang food...!!! Definitely.
Once you enjoyed Padang food, you would find the other western foods are just boring.

Anything that is made with those delicious spices from Indonesia.

Coz it takes time to make those food, and with those special mixing of spices ,the food has deep, fragrant flavours and tastes.

Each region gives us different tastes, but still, delicious!
From favorite item "chicken", grilled seafood, to soups that are made by a lot of spices and ingredients, every combination of spices give us a new experience of cuisine.

I love Padang food!! I'm half padang too from my mother family. And I also love not just their food but the coffee too. Indonesia's good at coffee such as Javanese or balinese coffee. And I also like Sunda's food. Like fried chicken in yellow sauce, lalapan, their hot chili. Mmm...

Soto Padang for the main food with Es Cendol as the drink. And Martabak Manis later on as a dessert. That will be delicious!!! You can never find that kind of magnificent food in Sweden or even Europe.

a lot. Padang food, deep fried snacks that is being sold on the street, BATAGOR... man oh man those foods are just wonderful for anyone's palate!

Too bad most of them aren't too healthy though, being deep fried and all those coconut milk :(

Rawon is the best one!!! I can not find it anywhere else except Malang...it's d best!!!

depends for what occasion. for instance: for party, green dodol from aceh and mushroom omelet... so you gotta be specific.
there's lots of kinds of food, even indonesian sometimes forget they have it (or too lazy making it)

Im a Filipino who visits Jakarata every now and then to be with my partner, I enjoy Bubur Ayam, Nasi goreng and almost all the food I have eaten when I was there. Missing eating Indonesian food so much! I Hope to experience more Indonesian dining again soon.

ok try this ( gado-gado , Pecel , Nasi Gandul , Rawon , Soto Kudus , Nasi Pindang , Garang Asem ) most Indonesian dont even Know this Food's

Padangs...

well there are a lot of delicious indonesian food..

but I have to say gado-gado, ketoprak, and soto betawi are my favorites.

My absolute favorite was beef rendang. I can make it, but it's nowhere near as good as our housekeepers was. That's what I get whenever I go to an Indonesian restaurant. Anatolia always had great middle eastern food and good specials at Rammadan. We always went to Huize van Wely for New Years.

I agree with Padang food. But a lot of other things I'm craving to: Bakmi Gajah Mada/Gang Kelinci, sate & gulai kambing, ikan gurame, swikee (kodok) kuah/goreng mentega/kecap, etc. I'm so hungry just thinking about this. Can't wait to come back to Indonesia.
