Can you tell me why you are proud to be Indonesian?

these are for those who called Indonesia as their home, not only for those who happened to be born in Indonesia and those who claim their ancestors is the rightful owner of Indonesia :)

I'm proud....even though there is many things wrong here...but its home!i travel to other countries a lot.....and of course in many ways they are better. But somehow i always want to come home..meet the nice indonesian people, eat indonesian food, feel the great indonesian weather....what i'm proud of the most is hatred toward other people's religion is very minimal...i can say that there is very few problems between religion here...we can talk and ask about other people's religion freely...not like in America or England or other countries who are very racist and judgemental...I love Indonesia.... ^^

This is my help from Washington, D.C. USA.

To be frank, I'm not really proud to be Indonesian, I just unluckily, born in here, in the place where the poor gets poorer and the rich gets richer

please check my previous question

You may hate the government and the political system in your country but should be proud for who you are and your homeland as well. As long as Indonesians love their country there is hope for the better. Indonesia is rich and beautiful. She just need the right people to manage it.

Sorry for the post as I am Malaysian. But still Indonesia is the land of my grandparents.

Since I came to India, now I'm more proud to be Indonesian. Karena Indonesia masih lebih baik.

I'm proud, despite of many drawback and deterioration that Indonesia experiencing in various aspect. The reason for that is simply imperative, which can be described in one word only: nationalism. No matter how lacking your country are, you can't even abandon the patriotism of nationalist from your spirit.
