How far is Soekarno Hatta International airport to Halim Perdana Kusumah Airport in Jakarta by taxi?

Iam arriving at Soekarno Hatta Airport(Jakarta) from Singapore and want to catch a flight to Bandung, but apparently, i have to go to Halim Perdana Kusumah airport. How far is Halim Perdana from Soekarno Hatta by taxi and how much? Also how much would a return flight to Bandung from Jakarta be?

It's about 40 km. It's around IDR 80,000 by taxi.

its depend on the time and day (weekend/weekdays) ...
weekdays at peak hour will take you like 1 hour 30 min to 2 hours by taxi. Fare will be below 100,000 rups.
I dont recommend you to fly Jakarta-Bandung or vice versa....take taxi only takes 2 hours time and cost similar as you take plane. ( around 200,000- 300,000 one way)
The reason i dont recommend you is bcos if the mountainous area in Bandung is more likely to be risky to travel by plane. However....nothing to worry about tho,,,,just pray hard :P

You can go through toll road from Sukarno Hatta to Halim by taxi. It is about Rp 150.000,- by regular taxi. The traffic is not too heavy before 3 pm in workday. Many flights from Halim to Bandung and it is safe enough especially when the weather is good like nowadays.

I agree with the first answer. Travel to Bandung by airplane is not recommended. It's not popular either. I suggest you to take executive train or travel-taxi (operate between provinces).

Jakarta-Bandung by road is only take 2 hours through highway. I think you could get the service at Soekarno-Hatta airport, but I don't know which one is better than the other. Cipaganti Travel is good. Anything labeled Blue Bird Group is also best.

While if you're travelling by train in the daylight, you could see the beautiful view of the country-side. Executive train will cost USD 15-20. You have to go to Gambir railway station at the Jakarta city center, near the National Monument. From Soekarno-Hatta is about 1 hour (if no bad traffic).

Overall, be careful on the road. Put your money in several safe places, don't show it all off. Try to get small money at the money changer. Be careful of people who sounds "forcing" you to use their service.

Hope you have a nice trip to Indonesia!

No flight go to Bandung anymore due to new toll road directly from Jakarta to Bandung only took 1 hour.

Take Trans Taxi from Soekarno Hatta Airport only took 2 hours to Bandung. It cost only Rp.150.000,- -Rp.200.000,- (arround SGD 30) . Find the information on the information booth for the Trans Taxi counter located. As far as I know there is Cipaganti travel taxi directly to Bandung located on the arrival airport lounge.

To get back to Jakarta and Soekarno Hatta airport, use the same Trans Taxi.

A regular cab will charge around IDR 200000 for the one way trip but beware of the irritating and colossal traffic jams Jakarta experiences. Its better you take a taxi to Bandung. Its a nice ride and will take the same as transiting to Soekarno-Hatta to Halim and check-in procedures.
