After the Plane Crash at Heathrow (2008) I am scared cos I am flying from Heathrow soon to the Maldives!?

Advice! Are planes safe? I would be really happy if somone helped!

Just remember, no one was killed on that plane, or even seriously injured. Statistically planes are the safest way to travel, you are far more likely to be in a road traffic accident than a plane crash.
Try and forget your worries and just look forward to your holidays...the Maldives are magnificent and I'm sure you'll have a brilliant time...Enjoy :-)

You're much more at risk of injury or death on the automobile drive to the airport than on the flight.

The statistics speak for themselves - flying is the safest mode of transportation.

Hey, I麓m flying twice in the next week. Don't worry, it IS the safest way to travel. There must have been half a million flights worldwide last week and there was one small incident. Time to relax my love. Enjoy your flight....ok?

Plane crashes are accidents, you never know when they will happen just because a plane crashed there not too long ago does not mean that you plane will... They happen at other airports your just scared because it happened to be where your flying out of!!

Well just hope you crash on the way back , that way you
would have had your holiday !!!!!!!!

and if you are going down...just put your head between your legs and kiss your *** goodbye

ps you will be fine .......... Malvives mmmm been there beautiful ....... have a great holiday xx

heath is the busiest airport on earth! when was the last time you heard of this happening there before this? see, it doesn't happen enough to worry.

How many car accidents are there on the roads each day in London? I am sure there is many. But this was the first crash in how many years in London? no one died right? Flying is the safest way to travel no matter what. You want to know where the most dangerous place is, within 2 miles of your home. That is where you are most likely going to be in an accident.

Honestly, i don't think you have anything to worry about. No need to be nervous, just go with your instincts. if you think you can get through this flight ok then you will, no doubt. i know it might make you nervous considering past events, but something can always happen, whether your flying, driving, dont think about what could go wrong, because doing that usually holds people back in life whch only leads to regret in the future....i think everything will be fine if you take that flight.......good luck and relax!!!11:)............

You are safer flying, than if you walk thru Bristol after dark.
