Why do I feel better here?

Im in Panama now for 1 month and before that Ive been in Costa Rica for 3 months (travelling). Why do I feel better here (mentally and fysically) than in my own country The Netherlands ??

1st guys got it....warm an sunny.....a few direct rays and your hit your natural high....

it may be the change of scenery, the pleasant warm weather, the increased sunlight when your body is used to the cold, short days of northern Europe. You are getting more vitamin D.
The lush, green vegetation and mountainous scenery is so much different than what you are used to that your brain is functioning at different levels than ever before.
That's my amateur analysis.
But the same thing happened to me when i left cold, snowy Michigan for Hot, dry Arizona in the middle of January. I didnt' want to come back home.
