Has anyone got a fear of body search in airport security checks?

every time i go through security at airport, im always subjected to body search, i have nothing to hide, but it has made me feel degraded and insecure and now i have a phobia about travelling!

its just you feeling insecure and wary of them. and because they can see youre looking shifty and uneasy they will search you.

if you can get past that then i am sure you will be searched a lot less. remember - these people are doing it for your security, and you have nothing to hide. though being searched in front of others isnt a nice thing, remember many others are on the same boat.

try to relax and remain calm (or even just appear calm) when going through and you will be searched less!

Peter, just grin and bare it. If someone else boarded, unsearched, and something happened you would be upset or dead. They're doing their jobs.

Gosh, I know how you feel!
I travel to France a lot, and go by ferry, and every single time my whole car is searched!
I too have nothing to hide.
If you don't have anything to hide, there really is no point on worrying. These people are doing their jobs, yes it is VERY annoying, embarrassing and they make you feel like a criminal. But you really do just have to ''live with it'' as the saying goes. Just remember, they are just doing their jobs and you aren't the only one they search. Oh and also remember, everyone gets checked (at least) once in their life!

I've only been body searched once, but oh it was scary. I was only 13 years old. I had never been on a plane before, so I was already nervous about the day. My parents weren't with me, as I was traveling with a student group. We were going through security, and all of a sudden I'm sent to another part of security, away from my group, who was heading to the gate. It wasn't too bad, I was just really nervous. I get scared everytime I go to airports now, even though I don't have anything to hide either. I don't show my fear though, because as someone else said, it could make the security people suspicious.

I've had that before because of my brown skin. They really need to know the difference between Indians and terrorists! We are not the same!
