My husband & I are going to Belize in Feb. Do we need any vaccinations before we go?

what u mean? like flu vaccinations i dont think so. but if u want to risk mosquito diseases that u are not used to then maybe a malaria shot if ur going hiking in the mountains but if ur staying in th cayes, i dont think so but bring sunblock.

As far as I know there is no shot for Malaria, only pills. Check with your local health board.

As I recall, you don't need any vaccinations, but you may need malaria pills depending on your destination within the country. We did take anti-malarial tablets because we spent several days in the rain forest area.

Check with the website for the US Center for Disease Control or your national health service to see what they recommend. Here's the CDC page on that: http://wwwn.cdc.gov/travel/contentVaccin... A travel medicine doctor can tell you what you need and administer the vaccinations and any prescriptions you need.

Here is our page on health tips: http://www.mousetourstravels.com/interna... and our page on vaccinations: http://www.mousetourstravels.com/interna...
and on malaria pills in case you need those: http://www.mousetourstravels.com/malaria...

And don't forget to pack Pepto-Bismol.... we never leave home without it, though we do take the tablets now. You can read what we have to say on that.... it's the best for not bringing your intestines home in a bag! http://www.mousetourstravels.com/pepto-b...

Happy travels... even if you don't travel the world... just remember that life is a journey... embrace and enjoy it! http://www.mousetourstravels.com

i agree with belzianbebe and she lives in belize so she knows better!
