I'd like a list of tourist destinations in order of their rankings for safety?

I remember seeing a tv program (like 20/20, Dateline, or something like that) a while ago that stated how tourist destinations outside Canada and the US ranked for safety and which were most dangerous to travel to. Does anyone know that info or Know where I can find such a list?

These people on the news and in the media make things look at lot more unsafe than they really are. The reason for this they like to instill fear in people so they stay tuned into their programs. The chances of something happening to you are slim to none. I have been backpacking alone since I was 18 I'm now 24. I have seen a lot of the world and have never had a problem. For the past 2 years I have been traveling to volital areas to see for myself what goes on in these war torn countries. (currantly Iraq )And what the conflicts are all about. I have had some close calls but that was because I put myself in those positions. From my experinances people in all areas are shocked when they see Americans walking through there villages or towns. People will offer to show you around there city or where every they live. They will want you to come to their homes and eat, drink, and offer you a place to stay. People through out the world are just like me and you they go on about their daily lifes and when they meet someone new it gives them a look into the outside world. Dont look for the safest sea side tourist destination you will feel like you never left home.They serve American food and speak english. Pick a country grab a map and find out what its like from the real people not the hotel staff, you will get much more for your money that way. And a unforgetable life experiance
