Will Kosovo's independence strengthen the hands of Northern Cyprus?

Kosovo situation is very similar to Turkish Cyprus and most EU countries intend to acknowledge Kosovo's independence.

And as for the question, it IS interesting watching the reaction of EU. It only strengthens my views of Europeans.

Cyprus faced invasion and occupation, and the owners of the north are 5 times more greeks than turkish. You'll never see in the map an independent "TRNC"

A lot of the people living now in Northern Cyprus are poor Turkish peasants who came from the poorest parts of Turkey guided by the Turkish government to take over the land and houses of the Greeks but also of the Turkish-Cypriots. These people ARE NOT Cypriots.
We can't be talking of independence here. Not when there is a Turkish invasion that is still going on. This is against peace and international law.

Northern Cyprus.
The Turkish north did not have international support and was solely supported by Turkey. Greek nationalism was part of the problem but so was Turkish intervention. Turkish Cypriot Republic is a quasi state with very little international ties kind of like Republica Srpska, the Illegitimate child born out of Turko-Greco hatred.

Kosovo
Supported by many states and Albania did not intervene to carve out a safe heaven for the ethnic Albanians of Kosovo as Turkey did. As Serbia broke every internation law ever established by modern man the poor Kosovars were at the mercy of god. The international community will not tolerate this type of behavior especially after what took place in Bosnia. Kosovo is country within the framework of international law and even now did refrain from proclaiming their independence until all the lights turned green. the Serbs reffer to international only when it suits there needs. As I said earlier they are most prolific law-breakers since Nazi Germany and yet now all of a sudden want to respect laws?

I would have to disagree with you there . The situation is completely different . The Kosovars' were always in Kosovo and then the Serbs came and stole it . You see , it might spark something very small . Most likely South Ossetia will want Independence .
