Larnaca cyprus?

hi, i'm trying to book a trip to Larnaca for the 23rd of april to the 30th. Flights are sorted, its just i'm struggling to work out where to stay for the week. Has anyone got any first hand experience of Larnaca? We are all in our mid 20's so would like to find lots to do. Another problem is we are on a tight budget of around 拢80 pp for accommodation for the week. Also anyone know how hot it usually is that time of year? Any help would be fantastic. Thanks

When I visited Larnaca I stayed here:

It was ok, just few minutes from the center, I don't remember how far from the airport but the beach was close.
I was there over 5 years ago so I don't know how does it look now, but back then It was ok.
One tip - when you're driving from Larnaca to Agia Napa look carefully for the signs "Sea caves". Great spot for snorkelling! And definitely go to Pafos, Nicosia, Cape Greco and Lara Bay. Beautiful places, perfect for a one-day trip from Larnaca. I really enjoyed the time I spent in Cyprus and I would definitely like to go there again. Good choice, I'm sure you'll have an amazing time :)

been to cyprus about 6 times and my dad worked out there witht the army, now a quick taxi ride (of which you may see my best friend who works at larnaca taxi transfer) is protaras. its cheaper than ayia napa and the beaches are better. there are plenty hotels but look for one that is near fig tree bay which is a sandy gorgeous beach with water sport activities such as banana boat and paragliding. its gorgeous. also if you are in hotel near that beach then you will be on the 'strip'. this is one long road with restaurants, pubs, bars and clubs all along it.its brilliant, all of them are lovely and the hotels near are well sound proft so you dont hear them if you need an early night. look for hotels such as capo bay, king alexander and others near fig tree bay. its lovely there and amazing beach and bars (also if you go to the love boat bar they have a hyponotist on a certain night and it actually works so i recommend you watch it and take part if you wants, my boyfriend did it and it was so funny) .
