Legal drinking age zante?

what is the legal drinking age in zante greece?

i've heard the age differs from region to region in greece and also that greek people count your age from the womb (so if your 17 years 3 months old they'll say you 18)

can someone set the record straight please.

(in response to comment below from myrina): for a start im scottish.. secondly i will not be going to zante to get "hammered" i will be going for a pleasant few drinks in a nice foreign bar.

That's true - Greek count from the conception - therefore if you are 17 - you have closed 18!
I went out on Thurs and was surprised to see signs on every bar door - You must be over 17 to buy alcohol'. They weren't there a few weeks ago - maybe they are getting stricter about underage drinking ..... hmmm I think that rule/law will last as long as the 'you must wear a helmet when riding a motorbike' - which lasted a few months and now all the kids are (unfortunately) not wearing them again!
PLEASE in Greece pass a law that sticks about children standing up in cars - between the front seats .... or a law that stops a mother sitting a baby on her knee in the front seat (good air bag) ...... or a law to stop a whole family from riding a moped (mum, child, dad driving and carrying baby under one arm! PLEASE! I hate these sights!

17!

17

If you are with parents no limit of age for drinking
If not then you should be full 17 years old
