Hi i am traveling to Macedonia in August, my cousin lives in Halkidiki, how far is Thesaloniki the capital?

How many hours to drive?

First of all Macedonia is one and is in Greece. Some communists norther decided in 1946 to named their part of Yugoslavia as "Macedonia"(!).
The capital of Macedonia is Thessaloniki. Halkidiki is near Thessaloniki so we don't talk about hours but about minutes! Hope you enjoy your stay here!

Salonika used to be a capital of Undivided Macedonia, but since 1913, Salonika (Solun on Macedonian), is in the occupied part of Aegean Macedonia.

Halkidiki is located in northern Greece - 100 km far from Thessaloniki it takes about 60 min from Halkidiki to Thessaloniki~

Thesaloniki used to be the informal capital many years ago when Macedonia was not divided. The capital of Macedonia is Skopje.

Macedonia is the original one in Greece.
Thesaloniki is the capital of the Greek region.
Halcidiki is less than 1 hour away.

Halkidiki is about 1 hour drive from Thessaloniki or the airport.

It really depends on where your cousin lives in Halkidiki. If your cousin lives in the most southern spot of the Sithonia peninsula (for example Porto Koufo), it will be a two and half hour drive.
