Hotels in Mykonos - Is it better to book in advance or can i find a hotel when i get off the ferry?

Hi, afew of us are going to mykonos and afew other islands this summer. Do you think we will be able to find a hotel right when we get off the ferry or is it better to book in advance? I went 2 years ago to mykonos and at that time we booked in advance and then when we got off the ferry so many people were offering hotels and im pretty sure they were cheaper then what we paid. But that was off season at the start of september, this time we are going in july. Is it better and cheaper to book in advance or take our chances and just go??

Book in advance! It's never a good idea to try and find something when you show up somewhere. Even tho there was availability last time, doesn't mean there will be when you need it (Murphy's Law).

For July - book in advance! Also check the booking for ferries as well.

i would definetely check both in advance, hotel and ferry tickets. its more possible not to find a ferry ticket from piraeus to mykonos in july that not to find a hotel. i was in mykonos last summer, the last weekend of july when it is supposed to be the best weekend to go, and still when we got off the ferry there were plenty of ppl who offered cheap rooms.
