What was happening in turkey, egypt and greece in the 1950's?

Basically, Greece was recovering from the World War II, and during the postwar period, started to develop:
"In the 1950s and 1960s, Greece developed rapidly, initially with the help of the U.S. Marshall Plans' grants and loans, and later through growth in the tourism sector. "

Meanwhile in Turkey, democracy made its first, though unsuccessful, steps
"Later on, the Democrat Party was established the next year, and was elected in 1950. Very popular at first, the government, led by prime minister Adnan Menderes, relaxed the restrictions on Islam and presided over a booming economy. In the later half of the decade, however, the government introduced censorship laws limiting dissent, while it became plagued by high inflation and a massive debt. Ankara also attempted to use the army to suppress its political rivals."

In Egypt, on the other hand, the British occupation had just ended, and it was later declared a republic:
"During World War II, British troops used Egypt as a base for Allied operations throughout the region. British troops were withdrawn to the Suez Canal area in 1947, but nationalist, anti-British feelings continued to grow after the war. On 22 July鈥?3 July 1952, a group of disaffected army officers (the "free officers") led by Lieutenant Colonel Gamal Abdel Nasser overthrew King Farouk, whom the military blamed for Egypt's poor performance in the 1948 war with Israel. Popular expectations for immediate reforms led to the workers' riots in Kafr Dawar on August 12, 1952, which resulted in two death sentences. Following a brief experiment with civilian rule, the Free Officers abrogated the 1953 constitution and declared Egypt a republic on June 18, 1953. Nasser evolved into a charismatic leader, not only of Egypt but of the Arab world, promoting and implementing "Arab socialism."
