The Ark is part of the 鈥淚t鈥檚 a Scream鈥?group of pubs, and hence is aimed very much at the student market, with drinks promos, student cards etc. The Ark is just along the road from the Strathclyde Student Union, so is a good stop off point if you鈥檙e heading up that way, or you fancy food during the day, but would prefer something other than the University refectories.

The drinks prices are about average, if not slightly below, for pubs in Glasgow, although there has been some fantastic offers on (all drinks a pound last year on a Tuesday springs to mind), so it shouldn鈥檛 lighten your wallet too much. The music is mainly chart music, so should be to most people鈥檚 tastes, and the TVs normally show the Cartoon Network, so that should keep all the students happy. There is also a large projection TV, so the pub is very popular for watching football in.

The Ark has to rank as one of my favourite pubs in Glasgow, as it鈥檚 nicely located, large, the music is good, it has a pool table and it plays the Cartoon Network. Last reason is the most important of course.
