Where is there affordable?

Studying there this fall. Where the heck do I live? (American)

AndyGLA gave you the answer, get in touch with the place where you are studying and they will either offer you accommodation in the halls of residence or recommend places where you can stay.
The advantage of doing this first is that whatever they offer you will be affordable and if it doesn't suit you, you will have somewhere to stay while you find somewhere that suits you better.

Student Accommodation on offer by the uni's and colleges. Contact the Uni or college that you plan on studying at and they will help you.

It depends. If you want to stay in the dorms of the University or College you are attending, contact them quickly to have your name down, as it can sometimes be hard to get accomodation if there is high demand. I'm not sure where you are studying, but most University dorms have been updated and contain modern fittings and appliances. If you would rather rent an appartment then you should search the internet for places to rent in Glasgow, or alternatively, you can wait until you're over here and look around in Newspapers and such. It may prove abit too expensive to rent somewhere on your own though, so it may be best to try and get a place in the dorms.
