If you had the opportunity to move to texas from north carolina to be in a band would you take it?

This is really serious to me. I'd appreciate any honest answer and thank you for it.

if your young with no children and a high school diploma why not...you may find a job you love !!!!

no

You can BE in a band anywhere.

Being in a band that is making millions, that's something to move to North Carolina for.

Depends on what you would be leaving behind.

It also would depend on what cities you are going from and to.

Really, you haven't provided enough detail....but my summary answer would be "no".

I live in Texas right now and used to live in South Carolina so I have been to North Carolina a few times. I think I probably wouldn't but that's only because I'm not really into playing music. If I had the same opportunity for dance or acting (which I love) I would definitely take it. The weather isn't much different there...a little colder. I would definitely do it.

Good luck!!

As stated before, it depends upon who depends on you! If you're unattached to obligations, why not? If this is something you want you should probably go with it.

A reasonable alternative under both circumstances is joining/starting a local band...good luck!

Yes why not take a chance. If the band does not work out then there are plenty of big cities here in Texas and job opportunities. Me and my husband moved to Houston from the Oregon 2 years ago and it was the best thing we ever did.

Not exactly my category, though I have traveled extensively, and not exactly a travel question, more a re-location question.

There is only 1 city in TX, I'd ever spend any time in, Austin, and reasons, to me are obvious. Diverse/peaceful, cultural mixes as well as Age/ education/ Social strata mixes, and the fact that not only is it the State Capital, but a University town, allowing that there is markets money there, as well as entertainment issues one wants.

Without knowing where at all in NC, or the market, or the REALLY serious nature of the desire, I'd shy away from Raliegh/Durham, but that's just a personal choice. Obviously there are Resorts in NC that might afford a band, some decent status, income, potential, and recognition otherwise, but if I was a BAND, and my plan was to enjoy life, on various levels, I'd head for the Outer Banks, and set up camp.
