How do I find a sweat lodge that I can attend in South Florida?

I am intersted in Native American traditions and do not know how to go about learning more.

You can try finding some information in this Holistic Magazine: Just search under Florida and ask them to send you one , Its a free magazine .

While many tribes have variations of sweat lodge, I cannot say whether the tribes of southern Florida do or do not. You're more likely to find a "Native American" (quotes intended) or a non-native who was "taught the ways" selling sweat lodge for a price. Do not be taken in by these charlatans and thieves of our culture!

If you're interested in learning more about Native American traditions, read a book, visit an American Indian community, volunteer and work with the people. If the tribe is one that participates in sweat lodge, maybe one day one of them will invite you to sit with them.
