CHEAP Spring Break Ideas? |
This is my last year in college and i had planned on going all out this year for spring break but a sh!t load of stuff just happened to me which is limiting my money. Me and some of my home girls still want to have a good time but we really dont want to spend too much money. I know it is kind of late in the game but does anyone have any ideas of where we can go? We go to school in Greensboro,NC and our spring break is March 9-14ish. Myrtle Beach is LAST on the list--that has been the spot for the past 3 years-- and im afraid it may be too late to consider Maimi on our budget. Also, we do want to show a lil skin so we want a place that is warm. If you happened to take a trip there one spring break, could you also let me know around how much you spent? A co-worker said Destin FL was a pretty nice place......but IDK From what I've heard...Destin can be kind of expensive but I've never actually stayed there...only driven through. I would sugguest Daytona but that may be a little expensive as well, especially since it's only a couple weeks away...However if you could find a way to fit it in your budget...I definitely suggest to go there...you may still be able to find cheaper hotels that aren't booked up yet. You should be able to find a decent place for around $125-$150/night...don't know if that's affordable for you guys or not but if so I would definitely recommend the Holiday Inn & Suites. Miami would be the most expensive out of the group...it's about 4-5 hours south of Daytona which makes the weather a bit nicer but the hotels are smaller, harder to come by and when you do find a decent place...it could be really expensive. Food/Drink are also more expensive down there. Another idea would be to hit Savannah for the St. Pattys Festival (14th-17th)...they have an annual party along Riverstreet that holds thousands of people...kind of like Mardi Gras...but better! I'd definitely consider that as well if you haven't already been |
