Cheapest Gas prices New York or California?

Interesting question. I was expecting it to be California because of all their clean air regulations and taxes, but it was New York - check out the website below. Regular gas in NY is $3.25 and in LA is $3.17 right now.

I just paid $ 3.29 this morning , Saturday it was $3.23 , I live in Albany New York , I think our state has the highest taxes on fuel , I can't wait to get out of New York , under Government Spitzer soon no one will be able to afford to live here...

I paid $3.07 yesterday in Long Beach, CA, but generally California prices run the highest in the nation because of our high state taxes on gasoline, especially in the winter months.
