How can I move to the mountains?

I am 18 and live in va. I am wanting to move to the mountains for the snowboarding. I need advice on how to find work and an apartment withought going there first. Any suggestions?

You can do most of it online. Look up the Chamber of Commerce of the city of your choice. It will show most all the rental info and local businesses. They will have a local newspaper that you can check out for job listings. Email or fax your resume after you talk to them and get your job lined up. Then just call the different rentals till you find a place you would like to live. Send them your deposite, pack your bags and get on a bus.

P.S. : Make sure the job pays enough for food, shelter and boarding. (Try to get a season pass before you go!)
