Moorpark, Camarillo or Agoura Hills? Californians reply?

I live in Pasadena. I am collecting info on these communities because I want a bit cleaner air and want to buy a house and have a kid. My wife loves being close to the beach and I love mountains and hills to hike and run in.

excellent answer, see I didn't know about the weather. I don't like hot, and love not having to use the AC.

I'd go with Camarillo b/c it's not going to be as hot as Moorpark or Agoura Hills. It's probably about the same distance to the beach as Agoura Hills is to Malibu and the mountains are a short drive away. Agoura Hills is nice though and close to Malibu and right below the Santa Monica mountains but it gets so damn hot in that area in summer, so if you like the heat then go with Agoura, although being so hot and in a valley air quality might be a problem sometimes, although nothing compared to Pasadena. But the weather in Camarillo is much more pleasant and will probably save you money on utility bills in summer from not having to use the AC.

edit: I know what you mean, I live by the beach in San Diego and love the mild weather, never too hot or cold. All you need is a ceiling fan living near the coast in SoCal basically. Here are the annual average temps in both Camarillo and Agoura Hills to give you a good idea of the difference in climate:

Agoura Hills!
