Does moving suck? |
Im movin from tropical to COLD winters so i was just wonderin what its like to move for you people who do it a lot. im young so its not my choice and ive neva EVA moved so i just been thinkin bout it. I've moved 9 times in 15 years and it's about to be 10 times, since i'm moving from Anchorage to Houston. Yes losing your friends sucks big time, but that's why they invented phones, email, myspace and such. Plus you'll make more friends unless you're incredibly shy. It's also a nice experience living in a different place. Maybe the having to pack everything up part and then unpacking sucks, but to me thats the only thing that sucks. You'll just get used to the cold too. I went from nice, warm Florida to cold as heck Alaska and I got used to the cold. Believe me it's not the end of the world like most people say. I didn't make up crap about how fun moving is. I truly love moving. I seriously can't wait to move again! Report It i hate mooving cuz u will miss all of your friends Moving is not that difficult but the packing and unpacking is boring and takes 4ever!!! but i think it will be a better experience and you can meet new ppl ect. It is not bad, unless the movers break your furniture or steal your things. The cold can be a big change, but the snow is fun sometimes (not driving). I think the hardest part is packing and unpacking. Moved about 15 times during my life. i hate it, but yea that winter's gone suck too!!! bummer naw, movings awesome. new place, new routines, new views and people and customs and styles. cold weather sucks though. sorry to disappoint. im from NY, and the winter can suck. warming up your car, snow, crappy driving. but youre young, and that means snow days, and snowboarding, and all the fun stuff you can do cause you don't have to go to work the next day. ;) good luck, it'll be great! I love moving. It's a great way to get to know different people and have new experiences. It also gives you a broader perspective on life. You get to see how people in different areas of the country live and how they think. It gives you a lot of experiences to base your opinions on. Plus the cold is awesome. I love cold weather, snow, wool sweaters, cozy fires, being in an outdoor hot tub while it is snowing. I wish I could move! To relocate like that does kind of suck, but you make new friends and keep in touch with old friends and it ain't so bad. I think a move is the same as opening a door to a room you've never seen before. It can be fun and interesting and challenging. You get to live in a new town, a new house, go to a new school, and make new friends. You'll be exposed to new activities and new clothing needs - coats and boots and mittens and scarves and hats, oh my! You may learn new sports - skiing, snowboarding, ice skating. Sounds like you're going to have some spicy fun in your life! Moving can be a pain! You have to pack all your stuff, try not to break anything in transition, and unpack when you get to the new place. How far are you moving? If you will be at a different school and far from your friends, then it can be worse. You will miss those that you left behind.....some of them you will keep in contact with, like a best friend or something. But you eventually lose touch with alot of them. Dont let it get ya down though. YOu will meet new people and sometimes moving can be exciting. Learning new things, meeting different people, seeing how people act in other parts of the country. I think the worst part for you, is you are moving to COLD winters....I hate cold lol We have cold winters where I live and I always look forward to summertime! Good luck Not really though it is so tired of always moving.I don't really like keep moving to diffirent places. NO!! It is the most joyable thing to do ever. I move every year, just for the fun of it!! Of course it SUCKS!! Are you crazy. I am 25 and I have moved 9 times. It is so frustrating trying to find a place, then moving 100 miles there and trying to find out everything about the new place and where to have this hooked up at. It is a headache. And then before you move in you have to clean the new and old place and box everything up then un box it all. It is misery. My goal is to not move again for 5 years, and then I will be buying my own. Good luck!! |
