Heres a good Q' California Or Florida? Both with beaches and ocean, but which one?

This will be biased because I've never been to Florida, but I suggest Cali. The Pacific Coast Highway is an amazing drive - we'd stop every now & then to take photos of the seals just lying on the beach just yards from the road. We drove through Big Sur National Park and it was beautiful.

Maybe down in the Florida swamps they have some interesting land features, but I can't imagine anything like the majesty of the Sierra Nevadas.

Both have their party scenes, though, and their downside - you have earthquakes & mudslides on one side and hurricanes & tornadoes on the other. But then again, Disney World looks more fun than Disneyland - although they've added to it since I've been.

It's pretty much a toss up. What interests you?

FL: more beaches, warm dirty water, small wave, good for lay back in beach whole day.

CA: beach in southern cali, rocky coast in northern cali, ice cold water, big wave for surfer, more marine animals( including sharks)
